Isomag Bearing Isolators Seal Wilson Snyder API 610 Pumps For Shell

Shell Refinery, in Norco, Louisiana, use two Wilson Snyder vertical inline API610 OHE pumps in a critical application in their cryo-unit. This pump pictured below with it's sister needed a better sealing solution to meet it's run-time needs. Originally, a speedy sleeve way placed over the shaft, and a lip seal was used for the bearing protection. The bearing housing was slightly pressurized and required a positive sealing solution.

With a need for a longer run time and a positive seal, Shell specified Isomag to replace the incumbent lip seal. Isomag bearing isolators do not damage the host equipment and fit into place without the need for modification. The pump has been in operation for 4 years now running 24 hours with zero issues.
