In 2009 a customer in Cohasset, MN, was repairing a Falk 102FZ3A Gearbox. This double reduction concentric gear drive comes factory equipped with motor bracket and an input coupling. It is also equipped with two lip seals on the high speed shaft and the low speed shaft. These oil seals would wear out in a short time and the forced lubrication system would then but forcing the ISO-220 oil out of the housing. The customer requested two things of Isomag magnetic bearing isolators, stop the egress of oil, and have a seal that will last the maintenance life cycle goal.
