Browning Reducer Gearbox Sealed With Isomag Bearing Isolators

Share

Cargill found Isomag bearing isolators to be the perfect solution for their Browning 5007 HP1 gearbox. This double reduction parallel shaft speed reducer was used as a grain elevator and experienced problems of ingress of grain dust to the bearing housing, eventually causing the gearbox to fail. The one weakness of this Falk gearbox is the lip seals that are installed. Oil seals wear out in about 6-8 months on continuous use. Then the contamination of the bearing house starts. On top of that, the lip seal wears a grove into the shaft, making it necessary to either refurbish the shaft or get a new one when it's time to repair.

When Cargill specified Isomag magnetic bearing isolators for their gearbox in 2014, they were very happy with their decision. The Browning gearbox has been running leak free and contamination free since incorporating Isomag bearing seals.

Isomag bearing isolators are a positive seal that wont damage the shafts of your gearbox, and work in horizontal or vertical up or down positions for the right angle gearboxes. Isomag magentic bearing seals also work perfectly in grease lubrication environments.
